GEORGE VASS - Governor

Conductor, composer and percussionist George Vass ARAM, studied at the Royal Academy of Music from 1975-79. He is a supporter of living composers and a major commissioner of new music, being awarded the BACSA Gold Badge in 2017. George has served as Director of Presteigne Festival since 1992, as well as Nova Music Opera and Orchestra Nova. He has made over 40 commercial recordings with BBC SO, BBC NOW, RLPO, RSNO, UO, and more. As well as serving as a Governor of RSM, he was Treasurer from 2017-19.
