HM Queen Elizabeth II

The Royal Society of Musicians’ President, Chairman, Governors, Members and staff send their deepest condolences to the Royal Family following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Serving as our Patron since 2013, we will remain forever grateful for her support of our charity, which continued the tradition of Royal patronage stretching all the way back to 1784 when George III attended our Handel Festival concerts, going on to award our Royal Charter in 1790.

Alongside The Royal Society of Musicians, HM The Queen was Patron of nearly 100 arts organisations, greatly enriching cultural life across the UK throughout her 70-year reign. We thank her for her unceasing dedication and support.
