ACTING AS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANISATION

The work of the RSM is made unique through its status as a membership organisation. Members join in expressing the concerns of musicians for all who face difficulties and challenges in doing their work.  

This strategic plan seeks to:

  • increase the relevance of membership of the RSM to the music sector

  • grow the number of Members from across all areas and genres of the music sector

  • increase the number of younger Members through establishing appropriate routes and links to enable this

  • increase the connection between the Society’s status as a membership organisation and its primary aim to help and support musicians in need

  • enable its Members to continue to show interest in and support for musicians in need

  • provide a forum for its Members to meet and share common interest in the Society and the wider music sector of the UK
